G&L Tribute Series L-2500 Blueburst 2006

G&L Tribute L-2500, blueburst, made in Korea 2006. G&L's L series basses were some of Leo Fender's last offerings to the world: here is the natural evolution of the Precision, Jazz and StingRay basses. You get some very sturdy hardware, an ash body, two MFD pickups and a versatile active preamp with  a bunch of tonal options at your disposal. It's a very practical offering: you can snappy J-style tones for funk stuff, mellow growly P-style tones for rock or jazz as well as super fat aggressive sounds for heavier applications. The neck is really enjoyable to play, and the ash body adds plenty of midrange snap and focus to the sound and feel. There's been a couple of generations of the Tribute Series, and this is an early example when they were still made in Korea, and it's built to a very high standard indeed. G&L stuff is some of the most underrated gear going around, so level up your low end and get this chonk on your team.
