Fender J bass, candy apple red, crafted in Japan 99-02. This is classy, simple and effective. The neck on these CIJ J basses always feels great and this no exception. It's slim, quick, responsive and comfortable, prefect for long sessions or tricky parts. The tone is classic J: bite, growl, warmth and sensitivity, all right there at your fingertips. It's pretty light too, so you really don't feel like you're working hard. Cosmetic condition notes: Minor finish wear. There's two fairly noteworthy chips, one on the bottom around from input jack where the finish has chipped to reveal the wood, approx 12mm long, and what might be a bite mark (I know right!?) in the body contour area on the top. Aside from that, there's a handful of minor dimples and scratches, mostly on the back. Overall: good condition, 7/10.
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Frets have minor wear but heaps of life left, 8/10. All electrics tested and working properly. Set up with fresh 45/105s. Simple and effective.
